We have District Nurses attached to our surgery. The team provides care and support to the sick and their relatives at home and on occasion at the surgery. Referrals can be accepted from patients and carers as well as other professionals.

Health Visitors are also attached to our surgery. They are specially qualified nurses who give advice, support and counselling on a wide range of health issues and are involved particularly in the care of children and their parents, the elderly and handicapped.

Midwife Maternity care is provided by sharing care between the Practice Midwife, the Doctor and St Richards Hospital. After pregnancy is confirmed, your Doctor will arrange an initial booking at the start of the pregnancy which is done by the Midwife on a home visit. The Midwife ante-natal clinics are held weekly on Monday morning and Wednesday morning in the Practice.

The Primary Care Mental Health Team is made up of a Mental Health Advisor who can give basic advice on coping with anxiety and stress, and help signpost to various self-help resources. We also have two Counsellors working from the practice. You will need to see your GP as first point of call to be referred to the Mental Health Team.
